There are several iPhone apps that are available that can help you with your fitness goals and help you get the most from your workouts. Let’s take a look at the top five iPhone apps that are fitness related.
GymGoal ABC
GymGoal ABC is a nice iPhone fitness app that features 280 exercises with animations where users can add their own image to any exercise. It is free and includes a number of calculators including BMI, target heart rate and body fat percentage. It also has an integrated body map of muscles where users can specify a body area they would like to work which then provides a set of exercises that will work that muscle group. This iPhone app is especially helpful to those who are new to a gym and lifting and need to learn how to properly use gym equipment without getting injured.

This iPhone app, available for $1.99, is less expensive than most fitness magazines, yet it is setup like one and it has the added bonus of an electronic log for tracking workouts. It offers tips on cardiovascular exercise as well as lifting with proper form. The app has many exercises that can be performed in the comfort of your own home with minimal equipment and users can select exercises based on individual muscles. The app includes specifically tailored workouts such as body toning for women or workouts for business travelers. This app is a budget friendly option that gives users a friendly way of adding new routines and exercises to their workout regimen.
LoseIt!
This free iPhone app gives users a simple and easy way to track the number of calories ingested by eating and expended through exercise. It has an extensive library of brand name and standard food names along an accurate count of their calories, carbohydrate, protein, fat, and fiber content which can be tracked with the LoseIt! app. The app also lets users set weight loss goals which can be tracked over time. The LoseIt! app is great for anyone into fitness who is a diligent record keeper when it comes to tracking calorie consumption and nutrition.
Navy SEAL Fitness
Users can pick up this iPhone app for $1.99 and train like a true Navy SEAL. The app will take users through several physical training exercises to improve their flexibility, muscular strength, and cardiovascular health so that they can achieve a peak level of fitness.

This iPhone app is a bit on the pricey side at $9.99, but it is a powerhouse in that it can be used to setup your workouts and track virtually anything that has to do with your fitness and health. It is also beautifully designed. FitnessBuilder has 663 workouts and more being added all the time and a number of fitness plans that users can choose from. You can also create custom workouts and use several tools that FitnessBuilder provides including the workout builder, workout log, goal tracker, cardio tracking, strength tracking and more. FitnessBuilder is very nice for those wanting to keep track of their workout schedule. This app definitely lives up to its name as it will help build your fitness.
