Adventures in living a healthy, juicy life

As many of you know, I’m a big fan of Yaro Starak from entrepreneur’s journey.
Yaro offers loads of excellent blogging information for free.
When I first started blogging, I downloaded his free e-book called Blog Profits Blueprint.
Following along with what we started last week, let’s look at another one of his recommendations. Yaro suggests writing and posting on your blog every day – or maybe 5 days a week. He gives great reasons for doing so (see below).
I couldn’t keep up with that pace. I’ve chosen to publish 3 times per week.
This week, as I look back at what I’ve accomplished, I realize that I have, in my opinion, too many blog carnivals in a row.
I started a new one (guest posting blog carnival to connect people who want to guest post with people looking for guest bloggers). I prefer a mix of posts to keep me and my audience interested. I’ll correct that with more variety of content appearing on ThatGirlisFunny from now on.
____________
The following is an excerpt from an article Yaro wrote called “10 Blog Traffic Tips”
2. Write one new blog post per day minimum. Not every post has to be a pillar, but you should work on getting those five pillars done at the same time as you keep your blog fresh with a daily news or short article style post. The important thing here is to demonstrate to first time visitors that your blog is updated all the time so they feel that if they come back tomorrow they will likely find something new. This causes them to bookmark your site or subscribe to your blog feed.
You don’t have to produce one post per day all the time but it is important you do when your blog is brand new. Once you get traction you still need to keep the fresh content coming but your loyal audience will be more forgiving if you slow down to a few per week instead. The first few months are critical so the more content you can produce at this time the better.

My first two months I tried pushing 2 posts a day, it was tough but I managed to do it and aside from link building, I believe it played a huge role on improving my Alexa ranking.
