Adventures in Living a Healthy, Juicy Life
by Cheryl Ragsdale
Decisions we’ve made in the past can either come back to haunt us or else continue to delight us (and others) for years to come. Let’s take a look at two different pathways related to physical adornment.
My second most popular blog post features the Rock the Ink Miss Tattoo competition held over the summer in Providence, RI. Just after I wrote about the contest, I found a blog written by a woman with a lot of tattoos. I mean – a lot – like full-body coverage. I contacted Jinxi Boo, the blog’s author. She happily agreed to read my post and left a beautiful comment.
I was thrilled that I had taken a risk and reached out to her. I wanted to know what “people like that” were like. I soon found out. No different from anyone else. But you probably already knew that…or did you? Take a look at these fantastic photos of Jinxi. She keeps turning up in different magazines. I think of her as a human art gallery. Most recently, she is featured on TrendHunter, a website devoted to finding interesting trends online before anyone else does.
A California mother of three, Jinxi Boo, is running out of skin to fill her obsession with full body tattoos. After the tiny cherry on her ankle, Jinxi was hooked and began getting tattoos as a hobby. Jinxi Boo’s incredible body art includes portraits of her husband and children, a cow representing veganism and her favorite female musicians, including Gwen Stefani and Cindy Lauper. Jinxi Boo’s next move is to have a shoulder tattoo inspired by her and her daughter’s favorite band, ‘The Cure.’

From Tats to Fats…
I wonder how many people tried to talk Jinxi out of getting “another” tattoo. At some point, they must have given up. We all do it! We all know what’s best for everyone else. “Follow my advice and you’ll be fine.”
No, I won’t. What I’ll be is a carbon copy of you.
Hmm…How about another incentive to stay young from the inside out! I met Krizia from eatsmartagesmart through a blogger mentoring group that we both belong to. She publishes daily reports designed to help people achieve the healthy lifestyle many of us strive to live.
Recently, Krizia posted this image and I had to re-post it here. Maybe this is the image that kick-starts someone into making healthier lifestyle choices. I share it with the following “Stay Young – from the inside out” habit in mind.
Stay Young Habit #24
Stop trying to change people. We only change when we want to and when we’re ready. Use your energy elsewhere.
British people have an interesting phrase to describe an exercise in futility or what’s known as “a flipping waste of time”. It’s called “rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.” Don’t waste your breath trying to change people. We only change when WE’RE ready to change. Focus on yourself. Let Jinxi inspire you to be more artistic or creative. Let this image inspire you to make one more change that leads to a healthier lifestyle.

Ladies and Gentlemen this IS motivation for weight loss!!!
by Krizia from eat smart age smart
Have you seen this body scan of a 250 lbs woman versus a 120 lbs woman?
The difference is simply shocking.
When you look at the two scans you quickly see the following on the scan of the overweight woman:
- Her stomach is much larger
- Her head is larger
- Her shoulders are really wide
- She’s essentially twice the size of the 120 lbs woman
- Her hips are much wider apart (which explains why overweight women have a lot of difficulty walking)
- Look at the spine at the back of her head!
- Look at how far apart her feet are due to the weight around her tights and knees
- Her ankles are bent (which could be due to the extra weight)
If you’re looking for motivation to lose weight … I’d say this is a really good reason to start taking healthy eating and adopting a healthy lifestyle (aka exercise regularly) VERY seriously!
By the way, this story is running wild on the net and it’s another reminder that being overweight is not healthy!

What do your decisions say about you?
Have the choices you’ve made in the past made you happy? Are you still happy with them? Tattoos are permanent. So is the damage we do to ourselves by carrying too much weight on our bodies. Either way, you’re wearing the decisions of the past. What do your decisions say about you?
Tight Ass Tuesday originally started out as a day to discuss what you’re doing to keep yourself fit and fighting trim. I intend to stretch the meaning to include more than just physical exercise. That way we can include every area of our lives. Let’s start by defining “tight ass”. There are two types of tight asses in the world:
- something good: a rear end that is exceptionally attractive, well-defined or desirable
- something not so good: someone uptight or overly cautious, a person who doesn’t enjoy anything fun, spontaneous, or interesting
My intention is to encourage you to achieve something good – physically – and to be more fun, spontaneous and interesting which leads – quite nicely, I might add – to developing habits designed to have you “Stay Young – from the Inside Out”

Hey, thanks, Jinxi!
I’m so happy to have a forum to share you with the world.
I think tattoos can damage the beauty of a woman’s body

Hi Dewi,
People say, “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.” I guess you know what you like in a woman.
I like the idea of how following someone’s advice will only make you more like them.
This can be good if the person is in much better shape than you or is more successful in a business like yours.
But even when this dynamic is not present, there are still TONS of people who speak passionately about how you should follow their weak advice.
Lesson: Listen but don’t follow these annoying types of people!

Hi Jimmy,
haha! You hit that right on the head. People don’t realize their advice is weak. I think they mean well, but it’s best to ignore it when their advice really doesn’t work for you.
