things that make you go hmmmm..

Like, for instance, Leslie Brown’s contribution 25 Most Bizarre (But Real) X-Rays. We can all agree that  keeping an open mind is a stay young habit. How about a little practice?

You know how we all have industry-specific things we find fascinating? Well, Leslie is sharing an X-Ray Tech’s point of view for what medical people consider interesting and bizarre (or maybe even, gruesome).  Definitely fits in the “grunge” category.

Things that make you go hmmmmm…not your cup of tea? Philippa Newman offers her ideas for “Small Changes That Can Lead to a Younger You“.  Her article is just below the list of interesting posts.

The use of x-rays is rather commonplace these days, as they are used to see what is inside a person, and help medical professionals work out the best way to solve the problem. You’d be surprised, though, at the bizarre situations that many find themselves in. Here are 25 of the most bizarre — but real — x-rays available.

Stay Young – Anti Age From the Inside Out -

Small Changes Everyday Can Lead to a Younger You!

By Philippa Newman

We can dramatically improve the rate at which we age and how good we look through changing the way we eat, shop, sleep, think and even clean our house. Forget trying to alter yourself on the outside through surgery and botox. Instead, anti-age your body through everyday changes that improve you on the inside – creating a healthy and glowing person on the outside for years to come.

Colorful vegetables and fruits

What you eat is critical to how well you age and how good you feel. To dramatically fight aging you need to cut out or cut down on simple sugars – that’s white bread, white pasta, cakes and biscuits. Instead replace them with brown bread, brown pasta, brown rice and swap cakes and biscuits for oat bars that have more complex sugars – these foods are far more nutrient rich giving your body vital supplies and because you avoid simple sugars, your body will have less inflammation, and therefore, fight aging much more effectively.

You also need to eat good amounts of vegetables and fruits. See every meal and every snack as an opportunity to get raw, fresh, steamed or cooked vegetables onboard. Fruit and vegetables need to become a key part of every meal. Your body and skin will thank you for it.

Examine your attitude to aging. Do you expect to become unattractive and unhealthy as you get older? If you do, that is probably what will happen. Or you can re-examine your assumptions and expect to continue to be attractive and healthy as the years pass. Thoughts make the man or woman. Our thoughts are extremely powerful and they need to be as positive as possible to age well.

Getting regular exercise, be it simply walking or running, or joining a gym is crucial to fight aging. If you don’t have time to go to the gym or don’t feel like going out, there are fantastic alternatives to do at home. Aim to exercise 3-5 times a week. If you want thick, supple and glowing skin with a great body and mind you need to exercise.

Banish toxic chemicals from your home and enjoy better long-term health and fight aging. Some of the chemicals we use to clean our homes and wash our clothes can be highly toxic and a threat to our health and well being. Fight aging by getting rid of any products with dangerous chemicals and replace them with ones that are just as effective, but better for you and your family.

Much more detailed information on fighting aging is available in Philippa’s ebook at http://www.antiageinsideout.com

however I’m not the person most concerned with staying young in the world, it’s always nice to pretend to be younger than we really are.
did not know these habits, and surely will try to follow them from today.
    Thanks for the tips!

      Hi Shraddha,
A couple of weeks ago, I had a huge comment box across the entire page at the base of the post just above the widget section. Then I installed a few updates (or who knows what I did) and the box ended up on the side – as a second comment box. Haven’t figured out how to get it back the way it was yet. All I did was copy the entire comments section code and place it on the single post.php page under appearance, editor (go to comments.php for original code). I think it might be more complicated than I can manage. I couldn’t get the comments themselves to show up underneath, just the box itself. When you figure it out, I would love to know!!
