Adventures in Living a Healthy, Juicy Life
by Cheryl Ragsdale
If you’ve never seen a Jiu Jitsu match before, you’re in for a treat.
Here’s my instructor, Alex Lewis, brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, demonstrating the skill, technique, finesse and concentration required to triumph over his opponent.
I’m fascinated by how calm both men are as they work through the different physical puzzles being presented. The event was held over the weekend of October 3rd and 4th, 2009 in NYC.
Ladies, you’ll like this too. This is a match between gentlemen.

That’s good jits and a sweet victory for Alex. He’s been looking forward to this match with Ryan. That’s what I call living life juicy!

I can’t wait until the St Pierre vs Shields match
What do you predict Cheryl?
Just some thoughts to give it a bump.
The choice of classical music was cool, a nice alternative to the rap or death metal that usually accompanies the type of videos.
I know most top level grapplers don’t spaz, but they both looked to have zen like calm through the whole thing.
What was the intermission when they were reset, ref seemed to talk to them for along time.
Love BJJ. Such a chess match. I love when people say they “don’t get it” or “it’s boring”. They just don’t understand.
Thats a great video! My son has started to show an interest in Ju Jitsu recently, he will love to see this site. Thanks,

Hi Charlie,
I don’t train with Mark. I did visit his gym once for a class, but I do all of my training at Florian MAC and at Peter Welch’s boxing gym. I love it! We’re all looking forward to KenFlo’s revenge. But first, UFC 107 and Clay “I need to cut my hair” Guida. haha! Are you a member of the Convocation of Combat Arts (for M.A. bloggers)? There’s a link at the very bottom of this page. I just joined!
You’re funny! I will tell everyone hello from you all the way from the Phillipines. Too bad the dojo is so far from you.
Stay connected,
Cheryl
