The Go-Girl is a pink funnel used by women to stand up and pee because they’d rather not sit down. That could work! It’s nice to have choices. You use it, wash it, dry it and fold it up into a small container and pop it in your purse. What’s the problem? It sounds funny, but it’s definitely practical. When a clean toilet is unavailable, the Go-Girl is the perfect solution.
Well, I guess there are different opinions about this unusual idea. Let’s start with Duke Powell’s point of view. He’s given this idea some thought and shares his opinions with us on this video:
What’s the big deal? Dog owners walk around with plastic bags full of dog poop and act like nothing unusual is going on. What’s wrong with girls standing up and peeing? Just can’t imagine doing it myself without laughing my ass off. And then that would be messy. Just like anything else, practice makes perfect. I guess I’d get used to it.
Humans have a fascination with toilets. Ever notice that European and Australian movies always have a scene where someone is on the toilet? Somehow it gets tied into the story line. I’m never glad I saw it. Is it a guy thing?

I worry that there’s a tipping point where women just start liking this stuff. Like you reach a certain baby boomer age and suddenly, you’re asking, “Did she say she got those at the dollar store? They would make excellent Christmas presents or baby shower gifts.”
One last thing, there’s always a story, right? So, one day this summer, I’m chilling on my balcony, minding my own business. A group of gents, whose wives were obviously out for the day, were drinking beer, playing cards and telling racy stories – in a foreign language – and then laughing really loud, the way guys laugh when they’re telling those kind of stories. I laughed because they were having so much fun.
Then one of them decides the bathroom in the house is too far away. He proceeds to stand up and pee against the fence. Unfortunately for me, the gaps in my balcony railing allowed me a full view of his relief effort. Don’t ask me why, but I got locked into a stare down contest with him. I’m giving him that “I can’t believe you’re standing there peeing in full view – go in the house, idiot!” look. He didn’t stop staring. He started laughing and telling everybody else what was happening. They’re laughing, I’m staring. Lucky for me, my phone rang and I had to look away. Do I have stand up and pee envy? Well, now there’s a way for me to find out.
