There is so much potential in a lot of these items. For me, at least with this one, when I read it, I immediately had a visual that made me chuckle. Top FML of All Time (by number of votes):  Today, I received my passport in the mail. They got my birthdate wrong. Then I picked up my birth certificate that I had sent in with the application. Turns out my parents have been celebrating my birthday on the wrong day for 16 years. Today, there was a car taking up 3 spaces. I left a note on the windshield that said “I hope your children come out retarded.” As I was walking back, I saw the owner of the car loading her crippled son into the backseat, she needed the extra room to maneuver his wheelchair up into her car. Today, I got annoyed with my mum stopping in her tracks each time she needed to reply to a text message. I tried to show her that you can walk and text at the same time. Today, I was walking on a busy street. I saw this beautiful blonde walking across the street and a car was coming. I wanted to be like in the movies where the guy pushes the girl out of the way so she doesn’t get hit. I accidently pushed her the wrong way. Right into the car. MakesMeThink (MMT):  Hmmm…how does it work? On FML, people laugh at themselves and invite others to join in. On MMT, people share something that inspired them, made them feel proud or warmed their hearts. MakesMeThink that people get attracted to happy vibes when they feel happy themselves. However, the number of people voting here is much smaller. MakesMeThink that being happy is a more difficult habit to maintain. People get sleepy. Why is that?

 

Today, my 21 year old son’s alternative rock band received a record deal from a major record label. I spent the last 5 years trying to convince him that college was the smarter way to go. Today, after spending every waking minute with her for 8 straight days, I knew I had to tell her just one thing. Just before she fell asleep, I whispered it in her ear. Today, I was traveling in Kenya and I met a refugee from Zimbabwe. He said he hadn’t eaten anything in over 3 days and looked extremely skinny and unhealthy. Then my friend offered him the rest of the sandwich he was eating. Today, Sean asked me to marry him. I said yes! Exactly one year ago today, I was walking to my car when a man ran up behind me and stole my purse. I called 911. Sean was the cop that responded to my call. If that jackass never stole my purse, I would have never met the love of my life.
