Taking Risks…remember the post Lois Bolton, guest writer, wrote about her adventures with the rope swing when she was a little girl? Well, take a look at this video if you need more encouragement to explore life and take on new challenges.
Dr. Lucky Meisenheimer loves to swim across the deep lake behind his house in Florida. This time, he does it at night joined by 90 other people!
Dr. Lucky created an opportunity to conquer his fear of shark attacks, but he’s not doing it on his own. In the summer of 1975, the movie “JAWS” terrorized nearly everyone who saw it. After watching the movie, Dr. Lucky says he got so scared he was afraid to swim in a swimming pool! Watch this video to see how it all turned out…there might be alligators in that lake!

Dr.Lucky Meisenheimer is an unusual person. Besides being a dermatologist, Lucky made it into “Ripley’s Believe It or Not” for swimming half a mile with his foot in his mouth. He authored the seminal book on Yo-Yo collecting “Lucky’s Collectors Guide to 20th Century Yo-Yos”. He’s been quoted or has appeared in over 18 publications ranging from the Annals of Emergency Medicine to Fiend Magazine to Swimming World and even the Wall Street Journal.
